You don't need a boat of your own to see London from the River. There are all sorts of passenger boats ready and waiting. You can opt for a simple river trip, or go for a full-on dinner dance -- there is something for everyone.
Although centred on Westminster, there are a variety of routes you can choose from. You could journey as far downstream as the Thames Barrier at Woolwich, or upriver as far as Hampton Court, or stick to the Pool of London Ferry with its circular route between London Bridge and The Tower.
Most of the boats have some sort of commentary, but the quality is rather variable! If you take a trip on the Thames, please let us know which company you used, where you went, and what you thought of the experience.
