The IWA Thames Tideway Guide

This is a very handy booklet containing "navigation notes, transit times and advice for owners of small craft using the Thames Tideway above the Thames Barrier"

It includes details of:

  • Lock opening arrangements at the points of entry into the London canals system at Brentford, Limehouse and Bow
  • Tideway mooring points and services
  • Richmond Lock working
  • Method of entry into the freshwater Thames at Teddington

At the princely sum of 30p, there is no excuse for not having a copy! It is widely available: from Brentford, Teddington and Limehouse Locks and from BW, EA and PLA information centres and head offices, or for 50p including postage from the IWA's General Office, PO Box 114, Rickmansworth, WD3 1ZY.

Alternatively, you can contact London IWA care of Mike Stevens mike.fc2@which.net and if you ask very nicely he might just send you a copy free of charge!
